How long does it take?

I live in Wisconsin.

I met and fell in love with a Jamaican man. I'd like him to come and visit me to see if he could live my lifestyle and would like my city before I actually marry him; wouldn't want to put either of us through that. I have already filed the papers for the Affidavit of Support and all of the supporting documentation and sent it to him. When he goes to the embassy, if they are going to grant hin the tourist visa do they grant the visa right away or is there some time between him applying for one and them granting him one? I don't know how this works.

They will issue any visa when he is at the embassy.
