What is the name of your state? Colorado.

Ok, so the judge ruled in favor of me and gave me custody of my daughter on May 2, 2006. Now I have been trying to add my daughter on to my insurance, and they require a copy of the court order to do so. Herein lies the problem. The courts tell me that my lawyer was supposed to type the order, sign it, and send it to the ex's lawyer to sign so that the judge can sign it and it can be an official order. I called my lawyer's office, and he tells me that he's had the order to my ex's lawyer since May 5th! My ex says that his lawyer is "mad at him" and that is why they will not sign the order or even call him back when he leaves a message.

What can I do to speed the process along? Will the courts force something to happen any time soon?

Your ex probably isn't paying his attorney and that's why the attorney isn't moving things along. Its not absolutely required that both attorney's sign the order. Ask your attorney to submit it to the judge as is.
