What is the name of your state? South Carolina

I was extradited from my home in florida to South Carolina 12/04 on a burglary 2 charge that took place 11 years ago when i was 17. I was released on bond and have made it to both my 1st and 2nd apperance. i was opointed a Public Defender in 01/05. It is 07/05 and i have not yet recieved my motion of descovery, and have not got my 1st plea. like i said this South Carolina, but still is there a time limit to which they can keep me here in limbo? my pd has said numerous time and time again that the "Solicator"= Prosicuter is thinking about droping the charges. Thats great and all , but when? thats what makes me ask the questions about if there is a time frame and if so, how long is it? Also is there a thing calles due process? what does that mean?

Any help on this post is so helpfull. :)
