What is the name of your state? Louisiana
My question is...If a person is on probation and is charged with 2 counts of aggravated assault what is the penalty if found guilty? The person is on probation till 2006 for drug charges already.

Independent of the sentence for the new charges, the violation of probation itself will likely force cancellation of the probation and the subject will be incarcerated for the original sentence, plus any sentence imposed for the new charges.

At a minimum, the person should see prison time.
