how many ways to evict a horrible tenant

I am in Texas and I have a tenant that I inherited when I purchased a house 2 yrs ago...this tenant has been unpleasant each time I have to talk to her or meet with her to collect her rent....she has bad mouthed me all over town to anyone and everyone that will listen to her....I was told by the previous landlord that she had wanted to buy the house but couldn't for whatever reason and I assume it is for that reason she is this way, although she was this way to the previous landlord....
Can I evict her for her behavior to me?

Does she have a lease? If she does, you can't evict her unless being nice to you is a term in the lease. If she's a month to month tenant, you can give her one month's notice and start eviction proceedings if she's not out in time.

CHAPTER 91. PROVISIONS GENERALLY APPLICABLE TO LANDLORDS AND TENANTS
Sec. 91.001. Notice for Terminating Certain Tenancies.
(a) A monthly tenancy or a tenancy from month to month may be terminated by the tenant or the landlord giving notice of termination to the other.
(b) If a notice of termination is given under Subsection (a) and if the rent-paying period is at least one month, the tenancy terminates on whichever of the following days is the later:
(1) the day given in the notice for termination; or
(2) one month after the day on which the notice is given.
