What is the name of your state? Md
I plan to sue my ex landlord for the unreasonable holding of $300 deposit two-year ago when he alledged that the ceiling fan blade is dirty and oil, but it's already oily when we moved in. He didn't provide the receipt for that amount.
My question is , when bring up the case to local court, can i claim my time off to appear in the court as well? Or I can just claim the $300 and the court fee.
Also, do I have to find out where the landlord lives in order to file claim his township, or just file in the township where the rental unit is located.
Thanks

No, you cannot claim your time off to appear in court...nor travel expenses either.

Your landlord needs to be notified that there is a lawsuit pending against him. Often this information regarding addresses can be found by checking out online property records.
