Me and my husband were having problems with our landlord using our electric and water. We ended up in court and now he won't leave us alone. He posted pictures up around town saying that my husband was a sexual preidor which in fact is not true. My husband is labled a sexual offender because of dating a 16 year old when he was 18, now he is 25 and we have 2 kids together and he also has a boy. Would the posters be considered slander? The posters are not true, there is a difference between the two. Not to mention, his daughter called an officer to the house saying he tried to run her bofriend over making false alligations? My husband can prove he wasn't there because he was at a job interview. What can I do?

If he is a registered sex offender from before, I don't see how being called that is a lie or slander.
