Hi. I recently won a judgement against some old tenets in one of my rental houses after they destroyed the carpet and paint inside the house. The judgement was in the amount of $1197.56. The tenets filed a request to pay the amount in installments of $50 a month (which I was not happy with considering I took out a loan to pay for the damages of approximately $3000 and the $50 a month would barely cover the interest). I sent in a letter asking the judge to deny the tenets request and have the amount paid in full because I did not want to have to give away half the money to pay the interest off the loan I took out. The judge agreed with me and sent a court order in the mail (which I recieved today) saying that the amount should be paid in full immediately.

My question is: how soon is immediately (time frame?) and if it is not paid in that time frame how can I attach their wages for the amount (I would like to do it on my own without having to worry about lawyer fees)?

Search local book stores for :" Collection Management Handbook: The art of getting Paid" In your judgment your allowed to request that interest accure for the amount due thus aiding you. Its questionable about the judges order for "immediate pay".
