What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Texas

As some of you know I am going through this expunction process without an attorney. I am getting non legal advice from friends and family about how to conduct myself in court. Someone suggested that I bring letters of recommendation and other documentation as evidence of my worthiness. Is that necessary? Besides the obvious about politeness and being well groomed how should I conduct myself and what kind of questions can I expect? Will someone from the DA's office be there to protest the expunction order?

thanks

You know despite your 540 posts here, there are hundreds of threads started every week here. We can't remember them all and I'm not going to search through your 540 past posts to try to guess the details of why you even think expunction is a possibility. I can't venture to guess as to whether the prosecutor will object to the expunction or whether you meet the standards for Texas expunction.

I'd certainly have copies of whatever records are being justified: the disposition of whatever it is you're trying to get expunged (complete with statements from the Probation officer if this was a deferred adjudication), copies of your official record showing no further legal entanglements, etc...

Those would go a long way more than having your drinking buddies showing up and saying what a good guy you are.

I have a written statement with these words from the DA's office.

"I have reviewed the district's attorney's files pertaining to the above listed subject, and have found that the listed offenses were declined for prosecution."

I have a current local police criminal history report. I also have an FBI finger prints background report but I am a little concerned because it's 2 years old. I have lived at the same address since the arrest though.Yes, the statute of limitation has expired. Do you think the court might be concerned that may have left the county and gotten into trouble? There is no time to do another FBI background check so how would I fix this? I have not been in trouble since the arrest.
I have 2 case numbers linked to one incident number. When I was raided I had weed and a controlled substance.
thanks
I already know I qualify for an expunction and the petition is a done deal.
