how to determine trademark infringement ?

I have a software product that recently was accused of infringing upon an arcade game manufacturer's trademark. However, the two names do not share ANY of the same words.

Does "Whack 'Em" infringe upon a TM name, "Whac-A-Mole" ???

Any advice or explanation of tm laws is appreciated.
