What is the name of your state? Arizona.

What does the man(husband in a marriage with one toddler) need to do to gain financial security so he is not screwed into paying a lot of money on a divorce? The man is in part time school and regular work (pt as well). The wife works full time.
But what are strong reasons the husband can use to sue the wife: to gain a settlment to cover the costs of him breaking a house lease (1 year lease) to move out and find another apartment as well, to cover the costs of days (of tuition) missed in his part time schooling which effects the grades and tuition he's paid for, court fees and possibly child support but hopefully not. Basically to cover all damages or costs i could possibly suffer if this happened?

If this is considered more simple to ask, what do you commonly see a husband suing his wife for to gain a settlement to cover costs of many things that are being needed.?c
You haven't given enough information to remotely give you any advice.

How long have you been married? How old is your child? What is your work and school schedule, what is mom's? How much money does mom make? How much do you make?
What kind of marital assets are there, if any? Who has the child now?

Who is the child's PRIMARY caregiver? Who is likely to have custody? Are there premarital assets?

If you are on the lease, DON'T move until classes are between sessions- then there is no tuition loss. And you ARE responsible for any lease you entered into!

Wife is NOT going to be forced to cover lost days because you decided -- or she decided -- to file for divorce.
