What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Georgia

How to buy a vacant lot when the company that owns it has dissolved.

I've maintained landscaping on a vacant lot next to my house for 7 years. It is zoned for personal property. The company that owns the lot has been recorded in the state of Georgia as dissolved in 2010. Of course, back taxes are owed. How can I buy this property? Currently I cannot petition the Sheriff Department in Fulton County, Atlanta to seize the property and auction it.

Even if adverse possession would apply in all other aspects, it still requires a period of 20 years. You're 13 years away.

"Zoned for personal property"? What other unusual use categories are prescribed for lands in your neck of the woods? Is your house within the same zone? If so, hope you are in compliance. (Like maybe your house is on wheels?)

Though not "currently" are you expecting that at some future date the sheriff will honor your petition to "seize the property and auction it"?

Strange post. First wants title handed him and suddenly willing to pay for it. Yet heat strokes are not uncommon in those GA parts. (Witnessed several while in OCS at Fort Benning. Most often on the rifle range however.)

When you look up that property in your county property tax pages how much does your county say it is worth as it is now ? Your best bet may be to get the last known address that property tax bills were sent to and send a letter with a offer to buy it.
