What is the name of your state? North Carolina

It appears that I need to file a civil suit to contest an amended trust. All beneficiaries are in agreement that the original trust meets the makers true wishes and the amended one is a product of family tampering of a sick old man. Is it possible to file a civil suit as an individual without hiring a lawyer for what should be an open and shut case. I will say it again, "ALL" beneficiaries will sign the suit and the only defendent, if you call it that, would be the bank currently holding the assets.

A: Yes.

This does not seem to be something that requires a lawsuit unless the bank wants to fight you, which they probably don't, especially if they will still manage the money. A letter to the bank signed by all beneficiaries might suffice. However, before acting, try posting this in the section under estates, as that is where you will get a better response.
