What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Wi
How can you go about finding a lost insurance policy?
My uncle who died in the 70's never married no children
My aunt insist she was beneficiary and threw the policy away after some years
She never knew you had to contact the insurance company of his death.
If this policy does exsist can it be paid out after all these years?
And how would i even begin to try to locate it?
Thanks!

If you know the insurance company name, you can call them and they will do a search. They may only give limited information, and ask you to send in death certificate.

I believe, not sure, that after a certain number of years an insurance company will turn over the policy to the state, so you may check there website to see if any unclaimed property.
