I have an open mortgage in the public records that has been paid off for at least 10 years. My mortgage has been bought and refinanced numerous times with no problem til today. Now all of a sudden this ol paid off mortgage pops up. The bank who bought this mortgage company is not willing to give relief in a timely manner and is requesting paperwork I don't have or cannot get. I am at my wits end. HELP!
