29 year old daughter has a mental health diagnoses called Schizoaffective disorder.
She was diagnosed with this when she was a young teenager.
She’s recently gotten a lot worse.
She’s never taken her medications.
She’s got a terrible temper that has caused her to be arrested and she’s now facing multiple different charges.
We took her to the hospital and she voluntarily admitted herself to the psychiatric ward. They released her almost two weeks later and within two days, the police had to take her back to the hospital for involuntary comitment.
How do I go about getting guardianship over her? So someone can make her take her medicine and can, if it comes down to it, have her hospitalized or moved to a live-in facility.
