State of WA, I need advice on what to do about receiving settlement that I was awarded in Divorce Decree. In the decree it states that I am to be awarded an amount of money, 1/2 of pension, and 1/2 of retirement that he has. It also states that he has 30 days to do so. That was filed on 04/06/01. What can I do to make sure that I get that? And what can I do, if he doesn't pay within that 30 days? I also have child support coming that he hasn't paid. And I have filed that with the state registry.

My response:
There is no way to "guarantee" that he will follow the court's orders. However, there is a way to enforce it.
If he fails to obey the court's orders by the due date, give him another 5 days "grace period". Then, after that has expired, file an "Order to Show Cause Re: Contempt of Court".
Judges really dislike it when someone fails or refuses to obey their orders. Because "Contempt" is a quasi-criminal matter, the judge can fine him and / or put him in jail. Along with that, he'll also be responsible for your attorney's fees and costs due to his contempt, and the judge will, in all probability hold a "debtor's hearing" causing him to divulge his assets so that you can locate, and levy upon and attach his assets, to get the money owed to you.
Good luck to you.
