Kentucky - Divorced mother has full custody of one child. Divorce papers say "visitation has been settled between both parents". Mother wishes to disallow visitation to father because he smokes pot and it is believed he uses other drugs. He has received a citation for possession of marijuana and has been jailed twice for driving with a suspended license and 3 failures to appear in court. He does not have a license at this time but drives his girlfriend's car in which he picks up his son. His girlfriend is rumored to use drugs also. The mother is concerned for the child's safety. What advice if any can you give? Should mother pursue this avenue and if so, what proof would be needed and how would she obtain it?

So you're saying that you do not have any visitation order? You should go to court and get one. With a record like that, you would probably be justified in asking for supervised visits, but you won't get a judge to order NO visitation.
