I live in IL, but if there is a law, I assume it will be a federal one. I would like to get a copy of information collected about me from a website, but their policy states that no information will be given out. I am not looking for anyone but my own information collected, as I want to know how intensivly they keep records about me. In essence, I am trying to figure out if there is a similar act/laws to the privacy act of 1974 that governs the private sector, as opposed to goverment agencies. Thanks in advance.
