Can Someone Help?

What is the name of your state? What is the name of your state? New Jersey

In September of 2000 I worked on a 3 day temp assigment doing general labor. I worked for a company that was disassembling storage racks for a warehouse. I was asked to collect refuse (small parts) dropped by the workers disassembling the steel racks. The workers handling the beams were to work in pairs and one of them had to come down. The other partner was told to wait for him to return before trying to remove the beam. I was then asked to collect refuse while there was a break in the disassembling process. The partner who was left decided to go ahead and remove the beam himself against policy and unable to handle it himself, dropped it. It struck me in the head, neck and shoulder. I was wearing a hardhat, but had to be taken by ambulence for emergency treatment. The temp agency was not notified until 2 hours after the accident occurred, and they were only then notified by another temp. I was out of work for 3 weeks, wore a soft collar neck brace and went to physical therapy. The wc insurance company was to have done a permanant injury evaluation after 6 months which never happened. I am now having problems with my neck again and had to go to the emergency room because I could not move my neck. I have been out of work for a week now and will not even be considered to come back until I see the wc insurance co's Dr this Friday. I want to know if I can still contact a lawyer and get some kind of settlement if this a permant injury. I also want to know if the wc company will have to pay me for lost time if this proves to be connected to the injury I received. Thanks!
