Can you help please? I am in Aust and purchased a business subscription from a US company based in Los Angeles. The first month of the subscription was a free trial but credit card details were a condition of the trial. It is 1 week since then and I want to terminate my subscription. I have emailed the termination but have not received any reply to confirm. All emails to customer service have been ignored, I cannot contact anyone. There is a phone number on the site but the companies terms and conditions say that payments will continue to be deducted until the company receives a written termination, and they demand 1 month's notice of that terminantion. How can I legally stop my subscription please? The terms state that simply stopping the payment from the credit card via the bank is not a termination - payments will still be due until the subscription is terminated.
The subscription is around $100US per month so I'd like to stop it ASAP, any help would be fantastic.

You can only cancel per the terms of your contract.

I suggest you go to the CA Secretary of State's website and look up the corporate HQ and its officers and send a LETTER, certified return receipt, to the executive office. Then attach a scanned copy to your next email.

It's not going to happen ASAP.

Next time you think about signing up for a monthly automatic hit on your credit card, make damned sure that you want it because these things tend to get stuck to you.

Terminating subscription to US company

Thank you for the reply, it's really helpful.

I know I look an idiot for leaving credit card info but the company had great reviews and the program seemed reputable.
