Today, I gotz a speeding ticket for driving 85 mph on a 65mph highway now the officer stated on the ticket 75+ so i dont know if he was being nice or not, and i dont know what difference does this make in the courtroom

so heres my question

im thinking of fighting it solely for the purpose that if this gets on my record, i strongly believe that the current job as a driver i have will be at stake.

Heres my arguement at court

according to VC SS 22350 (State of California)

The speed of any vehicle upon a highway not in excess of the limits in SS 22354-22358.4) is lawful unless clearly proved to be in the violation of the Basic Speed law.

Now heres the definition Basic Speed Law in the VC handbook

VC SS 22350. No person shall drive a vehicle upon a highway at a speed greater than is reasonable or prudent having due regard for weather, visibility, the traffic on, and the surface and witdth of, the highway, and in no event at a speed that endangerss the safety of persons or property

Your career as a truck driver is in jeopardy.

HOWEVER, you should take this routine on the road after trying it out on the Judge. It's a laugh riot.

Yes, the officer cut you a break, he can change the ticket back to 85 if you go to court.

The rational you proposed in unlikely to impress the judge and may do worse if he is having a bad day.

Check in to driving school.
