What is the name of your state? Missouri

I recently filed for Chapter 7 Bankruptcy. My total debt was around 40K mostly medical bills, but I also had 2 car repossessions. This debt was a result of a previous marriage. The only 2 accounts we had together were the cars. I am 100% sure that my ex-husband will never sue me for this ... he has left the country and I am sure that he will never return because of legal troubles he has here in the US.

My question is how my bankruptcy is going to affect my fiancé. We are planning on getting married next year, but he has good credit and I don't want to do anything to change that. What can I expect to happen if we do go ahead and get married as planned? What will this do to him? How will this affect us?

It'll have no affect other than the fact that his income and credit will have to carry the day if you want any sort of joint credit with a prime lender. For a couple of years anyway.
