HYIP scam - Contacted hosting provider - Check this email correspondance. Amazing.

Location: Somewhere in North America!

Hello all. Recently I was on a forum and found a user advertising a HYIP (Ponzi Scheme) scam. I did a lookup on his website and found the business hosting his domain is www.hosting-marketers.com. I contacted the owner of hosting-marketers to bring the scam to his attention and have it shut down. I was quite surprised by the owner's response.

Firstly, he accused me of also running a HYIP scam (As though I was trying to cut the competition down, I assume). He also admitted that it is most certainly a scam and is operating under his business.

I replied, stating the obvious solution which was to close the user's account. His response was "and how the hell are you to tell me what I have to do with my customers?"

Unbelievable! I would like to know the best place to report this business, as they are obviously in support of this scam. I myself have not been fleeced by the scammer or this hosting provider, so there is no need for me to get involved; however I want it to be shut down so nobody else gets the chance to lose money.

Thanks!

By the way, this is the email correspondence as of now:

Hello.

There is a HYIP scam being conducted under one of your domain names. The URL involved is http://holyhyip.com/

The administrator is actively publicizing the scam on the internet. Please contact me in regards to shutting down this website.

Thank you.

I think that http://holyhyip.com/ is a HYIP and so obviously it is a scam, like the one you run yourself.

I don't quite understand. I do not run a HYIP scam. This website is created by someone operating within your DNS system, which is why I emailed you to have it closed.

Why did you comment " like the one you run yourself."

Regardless, we both agree it is a scam. The administrator has been advertising it on www.hostbidder.com (Which is where I found it), so I assume you will close his account.

I am not explicitly telling you to do anything, but do you want to be home to an illegal scam? You admitted previously that this is a scam operating within your business.

Hi,

I would take it to BBB if they are indeed in US. Or mondoagency.com. I heard from a friend who had a problem with currency exchanger that they solved it, but not for free.
