What is the name of your state?tx
I am a US citizen and my spouse is here on a K3 visa. We filed I-485 several months ago and just recently USCIS sent us a letter about approval of our I-130. USCIS told us that we needed that approval to file I-485, but we already filed it without knowing that we needed I-130 approval first. What should we do now?

Some local offices allow you to file I-485 without an approved I-130. Others don't.
You may want to notify the local office where you filed I-485 that your I-130 has approved.
