What is the name of your state? New Jersey
I am full time employee of a local Municipality, the fire inspector during his yearly inspection wrote me a Fire Violation with a $500.00 fine attached with my home address, but the violation was for the Township Building, is this legal?

If you aren't the owner of the building, I don't understand how you can be held accountable.

I would check the municipalities ordinances with regards to the violations and the proceedure for notifications of the violations.
