I am from Ms. is there anyway to police the police

There are too, many holes in what the good ole boys from
here in Ms. think at the police station and,I can't get any
answers on an inestigation conscerning my sister-in-law's
murder and,my brother's sucide.
It was a shallow investigation to say the least but,now
after the police had evidence burnt.They are starting to
look into other avenues to investigate.I guess as an American citizen what legal options do have to take this
to someone over the local police department.
Your help will be greatly appreciated.Thank you James
