I gave my Landlord a 30 day notice to move about 1 1/2 weeks ago. At this time I was moving in with a roomate whom already had there place. On today the roommate called me and informed me that the land lord wants her to move out so she can rentave the place. At this point I called my land lord and asked him what is it that I can do to take my 30 day notice back? He told me that my apartment has already been given to someone else. Can this happen when it's not time for me to move yet. He will not be missing any rent because he would get the full rent from me on the due date. What can I do I will be homeless soon? I need some help. . Pleae reply soon very scared. This is happen in Oakland, Ca.

HA HA....do you understand what a written agreement is worth NOW?

Also your friend cannot be evcited unless she has no lease, or it has expired...so maybe you still can move in with her.

YOU made a deal, the landlord found someone else to rent it, if you dont move, YOU would be liable for all the new tenants EXPENSES, which could be thousands of dollars...
