I live in Florida. I had a car repossessed. They sold the car at action. Sent me a letter with amount owed. I had 20 days to respond in writing. I did. After that, I got no response or anything for almost 2 years. Then I get a notice that the court is throwing the case out due to the fact there was never any further action taken. But this notice also stated there was 10 days in which to take action again. The bank did. Said it was 'inadvertantly' closed. So again I responded in writing as well as sending a copy of original response from 2 years earlier explaining my situation and willingness to pay on certain terms. STILL NO RESPONSE! The next thing I received was a notice of the judgment against me. Two questions: 1. Don't they have to respond to me like I had to respond to them? They didn't accept or reject the offer I made. In fact they let the case close til the court notified them two years later. 2. If I choose to file bankruptcy, what will I lose? I have 2 old vehicles that I don't owe for but I owe on my house. I own a computer, TV, some crappy furniture....what can they take from me?

I DID post on BK board

Guru, your advice to getting an answer on the BK board was to post on the RE board. So when I did, your answer was to post on the BK board??? What's up with that?
