What is the name of your state? ohio ok i have been to this site before and received tremendous help. my husband is in the army, and my only means of transportation is totally screwed,
i need a vehicle, i planned on getting something fairly cheap, so i can afford payments. i have no credit, and my husband is 40,000 dollars in debt.i know im going to need some kind iof down payment, but we have $30.00 in the bank, and i NEED a car, is there some kind of loan i can get, that wont kill us when we are trying to repay it? someone also told me that "the government" can cosign for stuff, i find this very hard to believe. so please any suggestions would be greatly appreciated:confused:

You may want to try Army Emergency Relief, the Red Cross, etc. They may not be able to help you directly but they may be able to point you in the right direction. You may have other alternatives if your husband is guard/reserve and is deployed right now. Also, don't limit yourself to military avenues only. Contact the United Way in your area to see if there are vo tech programs who provide cars for low to moderate income families. Just a couple of thoughts. Good luck!

Whatever you do, don't let desperation get the better of you...

There are plenty of "ride today" dealerships that "cater" to military personnel, but they are out to make a quick buck. Avoid them at all costs.
