here is the situation....a week ago my car was vandalized and i know who did it but i am lacking proof...sort of. My ex girlfriend's current boyfriend is the one who did this and i have obtained a copy of an email sent from him to her that outlines what he intends to do regarding my car. I know her password for her email account because i helped her open it a long time ago. she probably forgot that i know it but she DOES know. i didnt "steal" her password i just remember it. My question is this: is this email good enough evidence against him? or is the email inadmissable because of the way it was obtained? i dont want to come forward with this email only to be nailed for hacking into her email account.

Unless she told you not to access her e-mail account, then you should proceed. The e-mail is admissable evidence in the courtroom. It has been known that some judges disregard it as evidence though. Hope this helps.
