I loaned money out,, but have no receipt, "I do have wittnesess

I am a single mom of 2, not working do to a car accsident.
I also have been seperated for 8 to 9 months now, & do beleive that I am finaly moving on with my life.
Maybe I'm nieve but I met, "what I thought was a very nice, and gentle man"! Well now I no I was very wrong. He borrowed ($950.00) dollars from me at the casino, with the promis of paying me back, knowing that, "that was all the money I had.
I loaned the cash because I saw him counting out at least ($5,000,00) dollars at the hotell we were staying.
He also won (1,600.00) Hundred "while I was getting ready to meet him at the casino". He has a great job, & no need to borrow anything.
How can I get justice?
Please advise me on what to do.I want

My response:

It was a bit confusing as to why you would loan money to this person, but if you want to take action, sue him in Small Claims court.
