What is the name of your state? California

I have 8 vehicles (Leased).

I handed over these vehicles for a company to rent it and make some money out of those vehicles (Agreement).

One of those cars was rented out through the company to one of the customers (Visitor).

The customer made an accident in Orange County (California) with a motorcycle and the motorcycle owner deceased at the time of accident.

Now I got sued for the person who died at the accident and the driver who was driving the vehicle left the USA went back to his country.

The court placed me in Default order and the renting company took off their hands from the case although I used to pay them for commercial insurance. But the company never provided me with receipts for the insurance payments.

Also the renting company stated that this insurance was commercial but it will never cover the vehicle when it’s rented out, although they never told me that until that incident occurred.

I need your legal advice in this matter and I have to act quickly and I don’t have an attorney.

If you have to “act quickly,” you will need an attorney.

I can see from what you wrote in your post that you made several mistakes with your car rental scheme, the most significant mistake perhaps being not reading your vehicle leases and your vehicle insurance agreements carefully enough.

You need to get an attorney. You cannot afford not to have one if you are being sued for the death of the motorcyclist.

Let me get this straight. You (an individual) are the lessee of eight vehicles. Through some sort of agreement (written or verbal?), you have given possession of these leased vehicles to a company to rent out the vehicles. Correct? Do you have some sort of ownership or controlling interest in the company? Is/are the lessor(s) of the vehicles aware what you are doing with them? Do you have insurance coverage on the vehicles and, if so, is/are the insurance carrier(s) aware what you're doing with the vehicles?

Now I got sued for the person who died at the accident and the driver who was driving the vehicle left the USA went back to his country.

The court placed me in Default

So...you were sued and failed to file an answer or other responsive pleading in the time provided. Why didn't you file something?

the renting company took off their hands from the case

I have no idea what this might mean.

I used to pay them for commercial insurance. But the company never provided me with receipts for the insurance payments.

So...you allowed this situation to exist and just assumed, but never verified, that appropriate insurance coverage existed?

I don’t have an attorney.

Obviously. Hire one. ASAP.

P.S. You've terminated the arrangement for the other seven vehicles, right?

There are, as a note, peer-to-peer car rental places (like Getaround, Turo) where you can offer up your car to others for rent - and it sounds like Nawar Amin might have tried to earn some extra money by doing this.

These car rental places, however, typically require that the person renting the car is the title holder and that the vehicle is properly insured and that the insurer is aware that the vehicle will be rented out. It appears that Nawar amin failed in this.
