I was arrested in NJ 3 years ago for credit card fraud. theft by deception, and possesion of CDS. I was able to get into a pre trial intervention program and was subject to restitution, drug tests, and Gamblers Anon meetings. I moved to Nevada last year with the permission of my PTI counselor and I have stayed clean for the last 3 yrs however i missed some of the payments of restitution. I received a letter 2 days ago stating that I was being dropped from PTI because i did not live up to the conditions and becuse i was already in there for the maximum of 3 yrs. There was a notice to appear in court, however the day i was to appear in court in NJ was the same day i received the letter in Nevada telling me i had to do so. I'm sure a bench warrant has been issued for failure to appear and what i wanted to know is Can/Will I be arrested here in Nevada for a bench warrant in NJ. Any answers or advice you can give me would be a great help. I don't have the money to get a lawyer and I don't know how i would be able to get off from work to fly to NJ and stay there for the length of trial and possible jail time.
