I dont know what to do.I am currently unemployed because I quit my job due to my coworkers laughing at me and shunning me.This caused me not to be able to do my job to my best of my abilities.My brothers and one of their wives claimed that I did a horrible crime.The thing they said I did I did not do at all. I got another job and they did the same thing at my new job. I can't go anywhere in my home town because people that were my friends are not my friends anymore,I get laughed at just walking in the store, I get shunned, and people treat me cruel because of what they said I did.I can not get another job because others will not hire me and as a result I can not even make a living or pay my bills. The only reason I can come up with them doing what they did is because we all do not like each other. I do not know what to do. Can you give me any advice on how I can fight them?

Since this is a LEGAL advice forum, the ONLY LEGAL option you have is to request an injunction to try to keep the world from talking about you. Then, you will just have to figure out a way to put the world on 'notice' of the injunction.

Or you can simply move to somewhere that they don't know you.... but you have to face the charges for the crimes you committed first.

Are you a ninja? If so, you can try to fight them dragon-style. I find that usually works best.

I WAS NOT CONVICTED OF A CRIME OR ANYTHING LIKE THAT. THEY SAID THESE THINGS BECAUSE WE HAVE A HISTORY OF NOT GETTING ALONG.THEY SAID THESE THINGS AS A WAY OF TRYING TO HURT ME.THEY WANTED ME TO LOSE MY JOB BECAUSE THE DID NOT WANT TO SEE ME PROSPER.MAYBE I DID NOT EXPLAINE MYSELF BETTER BUT THE THINGS THAT WERE SAID WERE NOT SAID BECAUSE WE WENT INFORNT OF A JUDGE OR A JURY .THEY ARE JUST PASSING A USELESS RUMOR WHICH REALLY AFFECTED MY LIFE.I JUST WANTED TO KNOW HOW TO GET HELP IN STOPPING THEM FROM RUINING MY LIFE.

Ok, so someone is claiming you are guilty of a terrible crime you did not commit. Google "defamation per se" and learn about it because that would be your claim.

Just to get you started though:

Can you PROVE these FALSE statements were made about YOU, within the last YEAR or so? Are you prepared to spend a minimum of $10,000.00 to take the defendant to court? Does the defendant have enough money to make it worth it for an attorney to take the case on a contingency?
