is it possible that a signing of a search warrent without "good" probible cause exists?
Have situations like this happened before? For real! There was no good reason for the sharang, and they really tore the place up!

Yes, there are all sorts of reasons why a magistrate would issue a warrant without good cause. For example, if the cop left out information or lied, & the remaining info was insufficient to support a warrant, the search might be thrown out. This is called a _Frakes_ hearing. Another example is when police rely on a tip that a court later finds was unreliable or insufficient.

However, unless you have significant damages or were arrested, it's probably better to drop it and move on with your life. Do you really want to invest all that emotional energy for $500?
