I need help about my ex-roommate

My roommate and I had an expensive condo for the last 5 months. My roommate quit working for personal reasons and was unable to pay the next rental payment. She informed me she would be moving out by the first on the 20th. Our lease said we had to stay for a year to get our deposit back (1500.00 of which i paid half 750.00). Do I have any legal rights to get her to pay me my half back since she caused the termination of our lease?

Yes. Sue her in small claims court for contribution.
