What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)s. carolina.

i am an 18 year old male, and i am dating a 14 year old female, we have been together well over a year, we were sexually active untill i turned 18, i had no idea that it was illegal to have sex under the age of 16, well she has been living with me and now (cys) is involved and are accusing me of sexual abuse even tho it was in no way possible against her will. all parents are ok with the relationship and want us to be together. I want to be with her and the only way i can do that is to get married to her, but in my state she needs to be at least 16 so i want to go to south carolina were she can be 14 to get married with her parental consent. would it be legal to go there and get married and move back to my state? would the marriage still be valid? or would i have to stay there and be a resident? please help me get my love back.

She's a 14 year old child who cannot legally consent to sex.

Stop having sex with her. Now.

And don't even THINK of telling a judge (should you be prosecuted) that you "didn't know it was illegal". Not in this day and age, son.

Her parents could also be in a LOT of legal trouble, and kiddo may end up in foster care since her parents are apparently unwilling to protect her.

You honestly need to stay away. Stop seeing her. NOW.

thats not my question, i want to know if the marriage would still be valid if i got married in south carolina and i am not a resident there, and then came back to were i live now, would she be considered legally imancipated since we are married?

No and No.

Leave the child alone.

Or do you WANT to end up in jail? We can help, you know. We have been able, in the past, to track posters' real identities and report them to the authorities.

Just saying.
