YOUR STATE NAME - Washington State

I moved into an apartment in Puyallup, WA on May third and there has been nothing but problems ever since. From the start the carpet had tons of stains, grease on the stove and microwave, microwave missing parts, dirt on the heater controls, phone lines did not work, bathroom sink flooded the bathroom the first night. I could go on and on. I found on the 5th or so that the dryer did not work so I called them to fix the problem. The problem was not fixed until the 14th, come to find out that the dryer vent was dry walled over. Trying to talk with the leasing office manager and got no where, since she would not listen to anything that I said and walked off during the conversation. After all this I decided to talk to her boss to see if I could get problems solved. I was asking to have my rent prorated from the day the dryer was fixed. They want to have nothing to do with that and offered me $50 off next month rent, and the $50 would come from MY DEPOSIT.

After I had a conference call with the leasing manager and her boss with their $50 offer, I told them that I thought that was a slap in the face and it was uncalled for. I ended the called.

A day after the call, I walked out to my car to find that it had been KEYED. The whole driver's side was keyed and a message "STOP BITCHING" keyed into the car door. I called the police and did all the motions.

I need some help on how to get my car fixed, leave with all the money that I have paid into the apartment, or both. Who do I contact, How can I have them take responsibilities for all the wrong actions?

Thanks,

Zak Everman

Zak are you a month to month tenant or on a lease ? If your month to month write your notice now for last day of june and get out . find something better . If your on a year lease how much notice does it say for you to end the lease ? last thing . If your on a year lease with no early termination like say 60/90/ 30 day notice to break the lease , then any more repair request you have stop talking and send a letter keep copy of it , and get a confirmed delivery . then if they dont respond with in a reasonable time call your city/ county housing inspections and have them come out and write the needed repair orders and ask for a copy of the report . Also do your self a favor now take pictures of the apartment now and any thing that needs repair have them dated . then when the time comes that you do move take pictures again .
