What is the name of your state? IN

I know that making a copy of a DVD which you don't own for yourself or a friend, or taping something from TV to keep as if you own a legitimate copy of the broadcast is illegal, if you don't get permission. Does anyone know of any legislation, court case or even an article somewhere, other than the obvious new FBI warning, which could help prove this?

Thanks, but I'm looking for something, which would rather definitively say that the fair use clause doesn't apply in these issues.

Try Google. Or Wikipedia. There are about a thousand published cases on this topic, and many, many papers, websites, law review articles, etc.
