What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Delaware I paid my sister a thousand dollars for lifetime rights to a piece of property she owns. We don't get a long and I have had the land surveyed and have pd. There are no restrictions except for I can't leave and rent the property.

If you don't have it already in writing, you don't have an agreement.
You'd be best advised to pay a few hundred to a lawyer to do this right.
