The story has nothing to do with it.

dallas' account is closed.

dallas' has a substitute check meaning it bounced.

With more facts, are you going to tell dallas to represent the check, or just put an end to the thread because I don't need to know much more to know that the substitute check just needs to be trashed, and dallas' needs lick his wounds.

That's why we're going to know what happened when he doesn't come back and post any follow up. Most people don't want to admit that they were duped even though it might help the next person if they did.

I think it always best to let a poster describe what his situation is and to let the poster ask a question.

I think it's best when a closed bank account is involved that no time is wasted getting a new account before you end up on ChexSystems. If you don't, you just might find that you can't get an account at a convenient bank and have to settle for a less desirable option because none want you any more.
