What is the name of your state? Indiana
I sold a 1999 dodge intrepid with 160000 miles as is a few days ago and now the buyer wants their money back. The car is still running in the same condition as purchased, but claims the motor is going out because the rods are knocking. the blue book value is 5100 in fair condition and i sold it for 3300 "as is" It has a clear title and no warranties were implied. can they sue me or give me the car back and demand their money. Purchase agreement was made feb 22nd, 2003 and they took possession feb 23rd. WHat do I do?

Sure they can sue you but it doesn't mean that they will win. It is a "Buyers Beware" rule when it comes to buying a used car especially from private individual. You do not have to take the car back and return their money. Good luck! :)

I'm not sure about Indiana, but in WA, I believe the cooling off period only exists if you buy a car from a dealer with a physical business location.
There is no cooling off period in Washington. Once the ink dries on the contract and the money exchanges hands, the deal is done.
