FontWhat is the name of your state? Illinois. I have been paying a judgement for over three years now. My company payroll person says that she does not know how much I owe. But, I believe state law says that the creditor must provide information about the balance due on a quarterly basis. I believe that I have over paid. What are my options in this matter.

Contact the creditor and request a statement showing the balance due (not your employer's payroll person).

It doesn't.

This is really simple.

1) You can contact the judgment creditor and ask for an accounting, and/or
2) You can contact the court and get a copy of the judgment. Then, calculate your own balance (including interest) and deduct the payments you have made.
