What is the name of your state? Pennsylvania
My daughter got a letter from the PA courts that she missed her 3 year review on child support for her 3 year daughter. She NEVER recieved a thing. The father hasn't paid a dime since day 1 so what's the big deal? She has always worked fulltime. Her husband wants to adopt her but they have to be married 2 years. The BIG DEAL is because her 4 month old daughter has been diagnosed with terminal brain cancer and her father is in Iraq, she had to go onto partial welfare benifits. She called today during her daughter's Brain surgery and they said if she did'nt show up today, her benefits would be cut off. The women who she talked to, could of given 2 ****s! The hospital called and sent a fax, I hope they understand. What trhe HELL kind of court systems do we have? My granddaughter is dying! What is the name of your state?

When someone is on welfare benefits one of the requirements is that they file for child support against the other parent of their child. If they do not do so, then yes, their benefits are generally cut off.

No, you cannot go to court for her.

I am very sorry about the baby.
