I used my fake ID when getting ticketed for drinking in public. What should I do?

I live in Washington State.

I was ticketed for drinking a beer in public. I am a minor but I have a fake ID and I gave it to the police for them to write the ticket(even though I know you should never hand your fake to a cop). They did not check my ID in the system but they did use the information from it, all of which is fake except for my name which is my legal name. Should I pay the ticket regardless and hope they don't notice? Could I be found out and charged with additional charges because of my fake identification? I have 15 days to pay the ticket.

I suggest you discuss the issue with your parents. They should probably arrange for you to consult a lawyer. You have committed a felony offense.

You should be very scared. This may not be a fine. You may end up with serious penalties for the fake id -- think identity theft, fraud, lying to a police officer and various other things. Time to man up and talk to your parents. If you can't deal with the consequences, you shouldn't be breaking the law.
