i filed for a modification re:child support reduction in the state of pennsylvania in january 2001 due to a significant reduction in my salary due to company problems.i had a conference with a hearing officer and my ex-wife in february and my ex-wife refused to a reduction so we had to schedule another date to meet with a master to decide what the reduction would be which was set for march 14, 2001. my ex-wife's lawyer canceled the hearing date stating that they needed a long day instead of a short day to settled this and no date for the hearing had been set. i have survived for the last 3 months but now i am sinking in bills and she is getting on most weeks more than half of my pay. i have no clue when the next hearing date is set and the lawyers involved haven't told us when we will be getting in to the hearing. i need to have a hearing date scheduled do to the fact that my credit will be destroyed.i feel my ex-wife is putting this off because she is waiting to see if my company gets back on its feet and this way she will get no reduction at all. how long does it generally take for a long day hearing to be scheduled?i need to get in for a reduction asap.also how to i get the retroactive monies back from my ex-wife when i get my reduction?please e-mail me back with the answers. thank you
