I am living in Edmonton, Canada and we are married since 2015, i want to separate from my wife but want to know if i can get immediate custody of my 3 weeks of daughter, my wife has not worked from last three years and i am managing all household things still she dominates me and dnt like my family at all (my parents are with me and she is not linking them) she always remains in her room and talks to her mother and other family members, please help to can i get easily separation from her and get custody of my daughter.

While Canadian law differs from US law, one thing they have in common is to determine custody based on what is the best interest of the child.

While 3 weeks is a very short time, nothing you have stated has indicated that there is a reason why you should be the custodial parent. You gripe about your wife and in-laws, but there's nothing about feedings, diaper changes, getting up all hours of the night, etc.

Having a newborn is stressful on a relationship. Your wife's focus is understandably on taking care of that helpless baby; her focus is not on you. If she had a difficult pregnancy or any sort of complications, that also takes the focus off of you. Don't act rashly, just because you are no longer the focus of attention.

To add to the above...Having the added stress of her in-laws living with you both is detrimental to the marriage. You should consider marriage counseling before making such a big decision.
