i was just arrested for DUI and underage possession of alcohol. I am ashamed and embarrassed. I am 20 and i blew a 0.08. I was pulled over in Virginia. I was wondering will i get any jail time for this. I am really scared and i will do whatever it takes to not go to jail. If i do community service and take ASAP classes, will i still have to do jail time?

Jail is a possibility, but it's usually unlikely unless you did something additional to really piss the prosecutor and the judge off. You'll get a suspended sentence most likely and probation. You will lose your license for a year. You will have to do VASAP to get it back. You will have to go on SR-22 insurance. You can get a restricted license if you're enrolled in VASAP. Note if you get this, it will have very strict rules. You will have to show the judge your work/school schedule and carry the approved restrictions with you. If caught driving while revoked (which is what you'll be doing if you violate the restrictions), judges have a nasty habit of giving you some of that "suspended sentence" unsuspended to let you think about it.

You need a lawyer.
