The expert on bed bugs who was interviewed by NBC (see the link provided earlier) explains well what needs to be done to get rid of bedbugs.

Yeah he explains what to TRY to do to get rid of them. I just read the article. He said they are very difficult to get rid of and that you should almost learn to put up with them. There are some homemade bed bug traps on you-tube. You just keep using them for months until they hopefully clear your house.

Bed bug traps tend not to be effective in ridding a place of bedbugs. There are a lot of useless remedies being touted online.
